Known for their high quality Reisser Woodscrews feature a sharp 25 degree point, it is this point which removes the need to have to pre-start when drilling the screws in, they can just be immediately inserted.
They feature sharp, wide and deep threads which penetrate into all timbers without the need for any pilot holes making the whole process of using this extremely easy and highly efficient. The deep threads which are sharp and wide mean that the screws also give exceptional pull out.
The screws themselves are made from especially hardened steel which gives them the most exception tensile and torsional strength, this is further strengthened by the reinforced collar underneath the screw head which provides an additional support and prevents the screw from snapping whilst penetrating through the timber.
An additional plus of the reinforced collar is that it also allows a wider deep pozi to be inserted in order to stop the screw from “jumping out” and even stops it from rounding at the edges.
Recognisable because of their yellow colouring, this is actually a tropicalised coating which gives the screw twenty times more rust resistance than a normal, standard screw.
We currently stock two types of Reisser Woodscrew packs at Mercers, the larger pack industry pack and the smaller (usually packed in 200's) craft pack.
