Festool power tools are popular worldwide thanks to their strength, accuracy and reliability. As proud suppliers of a wide selection of Festool power tools and accessories, Mercer & Sons Architectural Ironmongery Lancashire enjoyed welcoming representatives from the company to demonstrate some of their products at our popular Demonstration Day. On December 4th at our dedicated premises in Blackburn, the day also saw demonstrations of products by several other representatives from companies including Senco, Trend, Milwaukee and Zimmerman.
The Festool brand has been in existence since 1925 when it was created by the well-known Gottlieb-Stoll. After several years of refining their first product, a portable chainsaw, the company began trading in 1929 and have since grown to become market-leaders in the field. A talented team of designers and manufacturers is employed by Festool in order to ensure the superlative quality of every product, meaning peace of mind is guaranteed to the end-user.
One of the products that was exhibited at our demonstration day is the popular Festool CARVEX Pendulum Jigsaw. This power tool offers an unmatched profile-cutting capacity and, weighing just under 2kg, offers a much easier cutting experience than traditional models. With a rigid lifter-rod and a threefold saw-blade guide, the CARVEX behaves excellently around curvatures and has an ergonomic, soft-grip design to ensure complete comfort to the operator. When performing cut-out, trimming, curved, edge-notching, coping or circular tasks, the swivel-mounted plug cable and highly-visible scribe mark offer the highest levels of precision and provide complete versatility, an accessory pack is available which contains extra baseplates, splinterguards, StickFix felt, core maker and angle table.
